Finndream: for the love of Finland and saunas in Switzerland
A family-run Swiss company, finndream sells Kirami FinVision® -saunas and sauna accessories from several well-known Finnish brands. Finndream is a dream come true for the owner, Raphael Studerus, who describes himself as a Finland-crazy sauna enthusiast.
“After years in sales and product management, I fulfilled my dream of becoming self-employed with finndream. I had a vision of introducing the Finnish sauna tradition in Switzerland already in 2019 but founded the company in February 2021”, Raphael Studerus explains.
Raphael grew up near Lake Constance next to the German border, but finndream operates from Sirnach in Northern Switzerland. The area is known as the gateway to the beautiful Tannzapfenland, the pinecone land, known for its pine forests.

Kirami, the perfect partner
Finnish saunas were the only possible business option for someone who loves Finland and saunas.
“We wanted real Finnish know-how and heaters made in Finland. We found the perfect partner in Kirami – their familiar and professional approach impressed us from the beginning.”
Raphael says their customers expect an authentic, natural sauna experience with the best possible price-performance ratio and a corresponding quality, and that is what Kirami can offer. It is also essential that the Kirami products carry the Finnish Key Flag symbol, which demonstrates that the products are made in Finland.

Saunas becoming more popular
The Finnish sauna tradition is gaining increasing popularity in Switzerland. People enjoy saunas at fitness centres, spa hotels, or at home. Outdoor saunas in private gardens are not yet very common. Still, the desire for outdoor enjoyment has increased significantly since the Covid pandemic.
"What better suits this than a beautiful oasis made of Kirami FinVision® Annex modules? I have visited many saunas in Finland, but one of my most indescribably beautiful moments was the first sauna session in my garden. I had the first Kirami FinVision® -sauna in Switzerland, and it felt like coming home!"
For Raphael, the sauna is part of his everyday life.
“A good day starts with an Italian coffee and ends with a sauna in the garden!”

Enthusiastic reactions at the Giardina exhibition
So far, the company only has Raphael working for it. He has extensive support from friends and family to help with sauna installations and at trade fairs. In March 2025, finndream participated in the Giardina exhibition, Switzerland's largest trade fair in garden living.
"This year, Giardina attracted 57.000 visitors, slightly less than the previous year. Still, the show gardens and the Giardina Style section remained popular and well-attended. ‘Life in the garden’ lifestyle continues to enjoy great popularity here."
The trade fair showcased various saunas, but finndream was proud to present the only truly Finnish saunas.
“The visitors at our booth were enthusiastic about the Kirami FinVision® -sauna and Kirami FinVision® Annex modules: the terrace with a shower, the pergola, and the lounge. Many visitors particularly liked the colour combination of dark spruce wood on the exterior and light aspen wood on the interior.”

Eurovision Song Contest – will a song about sauna be victorious?
Switzerland is hosting this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Basel.
“It’s wonderful to become the host after NEMO’s victory last year in Sweden. The world is now looking at Basel and Switzerland, and we hope that music will connect the world and know no borders, at least briefly.”
Sweden, Finland's long-time friend and beloved neighbour, has often been a favourite in these contests. This year, Sweden's representative is the Finnish music group Kaj. Their song revolves around sauna and has created quite a hype in Sweden and Finland. As Kaj is considered a favourite to win along with Austria, there are interviews in major Swiss newspapers and videos online, but compared to Sweden and Finland, things are still quiet regarding Kaj.
But can a humorous sauna-themed song succeed in the Eurovision?
"Obviously, the victory will go to Kaj and Sweden, and the world will fall for total sauna hype!" Raphael laughs..
