Kirami FinVision® lounge rug Nordic misty is a tailor-made rug for the Nordic misty lounge. The rug protects the floor from heavy wear and tear, as well as adding a decorative and atmospheric touch to the interior of the lounge.

The lounge rug is Kivu-sisal material, breathable and clean natural fibre (can also be used on underfloor heating) and easy to maintain. It has a thickness of 6.5 mm, weighs 6.9 kg and measures 1.5 m x 1.9 m. The stylish rug covers most of the lounge floor, while leaving the edges of the wooden floor uncovered. The rug is a multi-colour mix of black and beige and is bordered with a 2 cm black outdoor border. The material meets the minimum requirements for colour fastness and is intended for indoor use. When used outdoors, for example on a terrace, when the rug is soaked through, the rug may shrink and change colour when exposed to sunlight. The rug has a dirt-repellent surface and a latex backing. This allows it to stay in place on the floor and prevents sand and dirt from passing through the backing to the floor. The carpet material improves room acoustics (Sound absorption 25 dB) and has been tested according to the EN ISO 140-6 standard. Utilization category 23.Fire protection class: Fire protection class B-s1, d0 means that the product has very little influence on the spread of fire, produces very little smoke and does not form flammable droplets.

Properties of sisal

Sisal is an age-old natural fibre material that suffered a decline in use as synthetic fibres became more common. Sisal is made by drying the leaves of the sisal plant and it is a strong and durable plant fibre. The plant is native to southern Mexico.

Sisal is a rough fibre used for its excellent strength. Because of its roughness, sisal is not used to make clothing, but it can be used for many other purposes. Traditionally, sisal is used to make ropes. Sisal is strong and stretchy and has been a popular material for ropes among sailors for centuries.

Like all fibres, sisal is classified according to the quality of the fibre. There are three grading scales; high quality, medium quality and low quality. High quality sisal is used for textiles such as carpets/rugs. The lowest quality sisal is rope material.

Sisal is used to make carpets and rugs. As a carpet, sisal is durable and dirt-repellent. Sisal carpets are available in a wide range of colours. Because sisal is antistatic, it does not attract dust. Sisal is well-knowns for its use in eco-homes for the merits of biodegradability and recyclability.

Dimensions: Size: 1.5 m x 1.9 m Thickness: 6.5 mm Weight: 5.9 kg Border: 2 cm outdoor black Cleaning sisal rugs Regular and proper cleaning is the most important factor in maintaining the quality of your rug. Daily cleaning of the sisal rug can be done by vacuuming. Any stains caused by solid substances should be removed as quickly as possible. Before removing a stain with a stain remover, try to remove it as best you can by squeezing it with a wrung-out cloth that has been moistened beforehand. The most recommended method for basic cleaning is dry cleaning with a dry shampoo sprinkled on the mat according to the manufacturer's instructions. Wet cleaning should only be done if dry cleaning has not brought the desired result.

Do a water workout in the hot tub

Bathing in the hot tub is a wonderful way to relax, but with the right instructions, you can also exercise in the tub. Water exercise is great for joints and tissues, and water resistance makes the movements more effective. The warm water also stimulates blood circulation. Physiotherapist Teija Simola has created a workout in a Kirami hot tub that everyone can do in their own tub.
